Scammers are posing as Hutchins Police Officers, using real names of real officers, to call potential scam victims. The scammers are demanding money in lieu of arrest. This has happened twice now in the past few weeks.
If you receive a call like this, be aware that these are not legitimate. If you receive a call from someone claiming to be a Hutchins Police Officer and are suspicious, please call the Hutchins Police Department at 972-225-2225 to verify if they are a real employee of the City.
Hutchins Police Officers will never ask for payments over the phone to clear warrants! If you receive a call like this, hang up and report it to law enforcement immediately!
