Event Hosting

Both residents and non-residents are invited to rent the Community Center, Event Center, and Campbell Park facilities for events and gatherings. Examples include parties, family gatherings, banquets, church gatherings, and corporate trainings. Please see the menu bar on the left for details about these venues and rental procedures.

Members of the public may also host special events on public property that require a Special Events Permit. Examples include car shows, pop-up markets with vendor booths, and parades.

A frequently asked question is whether event hosts should submit a rental application or special event application. Helpful guidelines are listed below, and you may also contact staff at City Hall for questions or more information.

Submit a Campbell Park Facility Rental Form if:

  • Your activity (or part of your activity) is taking place under the large pavilion at Campbell Park or a baseball field at a specific time
  • Facilities are used as they are originally intended (e.g., pavilion for a picnic or similar table activities and baseball fields for games or practices)
  • No entry tickets are sold
  • There will be no hot food cooked on-site (other than on the pre-existing park grills)
  • No other permits are required

Submit a Special Events Application Form if one or more of the following apply:

  • Your activity is using outdoor facilities outside their original purpose (e.g., using a grass field in a park for a car show or pop-up event, as opposed to typical park activities like cornhole)
  • Street closures, anticipated traffic congestion, street parking
  • Hot food is being prepared on-site using smokers, stoves, food trucks, etc.
  • Admission fees
  • An event is expected to have more than 100 attendees
  • Vendor booths (food trucks, merchants, tabling)
  • Need for liability insurance
