1. NOTICE TO BIDDERS
STREET RECONSTRUCTION FY 2025 CDBG PROJECT WOODCREST LN.
AND
STREET RECONSTRUCTION FY 2025 CDBG PROJECT DENTON ST.
Sealed bids will be received at the office of the City Secretary, City Hall, 400 JJ Lemmon Rd, Hutchins, TX 75141 until 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, July l st, 2026 and then publicly opened and read, for furnishing all labor, material, and equipment, and performing all work required for the reconstruction of Denton St and Woodcrest Ln.
Proposals shall be accompanied by a cashier's or certified check upon a national, state bank or savings and loan in an amount not less than five percent (5%) of the total maximum bid price, payable without recourse to the City of Hutchins, or a bid bond in the same amount from a reliable surety company, holding a permit from the State of Texas to act as surety, as a guarantee that the bidder will enter into a contract and execute performance bond and payment bond within ten (10) days after notice of award of contract.
The successful bidder must furnish a Performance bond, a Material and Labor Payment Bond, and a 2-year Maintenance Bond, all upon the form provided in the amount of 100 percent of the contract price, from an approved surety company holding a permit from the State of Texas to act as surety or other sureties acceptable to the Owner.
If at the time this contract is to be awarded to the lowest, qualified, responsible and responsive Bidder (on the basis of OWNER’s evaluation as hereinafter provided). The contract will be awarded per the base bid only if the bid amount submitted by the lowest qualified responsible bidder is within the Owner’s estimated project cost and availability to finance the contract. If such bid exceeds this amount, the Owner may reject all bids or may award the contract on the base bid combined with such deductible alternates applied so as to produce a net amount which is within the available funds. No combined or conditional bids will be accepted.
The right is reserved, as the interest of the Owner may require, to reject any and all bids, and to waive any formality in bids received.
