Celebrate the start of a new school year and connect with community resources at the Hutchins Back-to-School Community BBQ.

Hosted by the City of Hutchins, Parks & Recreation Board, and National Women in Roofing (NWIR), this free community event will feature food, family activities, educational challenges, prizes, and school supply giveaways.

Event Highlights

• Free Burgers, Chips & Lemonade (while supplies last)
• Basketball Free Throw Contest with age-based competitions and prizes
• Library Math Challenge hosted by Atwell Public Library for elementary, junior high, and high school students
• Family Bingo with exciting prizes
• Community resource booths and local organizations

Backpack & School Supply Giveaway

At 2:30 PM, filled backpacks will be distributed to K–12 students while supplies last.

Important Guidelines:

• One backpack per child
• Child must be physically present
• Distribution ends when all backpacks have been claimed
